Section 137 Funding

This funding allows local government councils to incur expenditure for the purposes that benefit their communities when no specific statutory power is available.  The expenditure limit is adjusted annually in line with inflation, assuming that councils can allocate funds to projects that support local communities.  The funding can be used for a variety of projects, including donations to charities, grants to local clubs and awards.  Funding provides flexibility for councils to support their communities in a meaningful way.
